Take The Bet
A reminder for anyone standing at the edge of something new—whether it’s a dream, a relationship, or a complete reset.
You have to start somewhere. Every dream starts with a choice to begin. You might have an outcome in mind or an idea of where you want to end up, but you never really know how you’re going to get there.
What I’ve learned is that life gives you the tools. Every time you commit to doing the next thing, a new tool, idea, or understanding shows up. Another piece of the puzzle appears simply because you decide to go in the direction of what you want.
It doesn’t mean there aren’t problems. It doesn’t mean you won’t feel like giving up. It doesn’t mean you won’t quit and start again. It just means that the dream is powerful enough to keep you in the room, no matter how hard it gets.
Life is a crap shoot. It just is. It’s a gamble, a risk, a bet, a double dog dare. Life dares you to try it and to see what happens. The world screams that you’ll fail, that it’ll never work. Your heart and soul remind you that you have the power to create what you want. You were born with that power. All you have to do is learn to use it.
From the outside, my life looks identical, like nothing has changed. My work looks the same, like it went nowhere. But on the inside of both my life and work, everything has shifted around multiple times. I’ve taken chance after chance, bet after bet, and kept going, even when I lost every single bet. I’ll be damned if I’ll give up now.
You don’t have to have a clear vision. You don’t have to have any vision at all. You just have to have an idea of how you want to feel because that’s enough to start. You just have to start somewhere. The best place to start is exactly where you are. There is no place else to be in that moment. It’s from where you are that everything else flows. The next step shows up because you dared to start, not because you were guaranteed success, but because you didn’t allow your fear of the unknown to hold you back.
Are you ready to take that bet yet? Your life is waiting for you.
Love to all.
